SMU defeated Oklahoma 3-2 in an overtime contest on Thursday night to extend their winning streak to four.
 
Senior Allie Thornton put the Mustangs back out in front in the 68th minute when she scored on a right-footed shot across the front of the goal off of an assist from redshirt freshman Brigitta Pulins. Thornton scored the golden goal in the 101st minute with an assist from fellow senior Hailey Bishop. The goal was Thornton's fourth game-winner of the season and 11th of her career.
 
UCF 2, Long Beach State 1
 
In the first of two games in California, UCF (4-1-2) continued to find ways to win as they defeated Long Beach State (2-6) by a score of 2-1 to extend their unbeaten streak to six and winning streak to four matches.
 
Making her second appearance for the Knights, freshman Ellie Moreno put the Black and Gold back in the lead with 55 seconds left in the match. The Winter Park, Fla., native has now scored in two consecutive matches and has two goals on the season.
 
Memphis 3, Iowa State 0
 
Another shutout effort propelled Memphis to its sixth consecutive victory on Friday night at Park Avenue Campus, as the Tigers downed Iowa State by a final of 3-0 to close non-conference play.
 
An early score from sophomore Kimberley Smit established the home-side advantage. The Tigers (8-1) added pressure in the second half after freshman Mya Jones and junior Clarissa Larisey tallied scores in the first 15 minutes of the second frame.
 
UMKC 2, Tulsa 1
 
Tulsa dropped a 2-1 decision to Kansas City on Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  TU fell to 5-4 on the season, while KC moved to 6-1-2 overall.
 
After UMKC took a 2-0 lead, Emilie Torres got one back for the Golden Hurricane in the 34th minute, but neither team found the back of the net in the final 56 minutes for the final 2-1 score.
