Temple 0, Lehigh 0 (2OT)
Temple moved to 1-2-1 on the season after drawing with Lehigh, 0-0, at the Temple Sports Complex. The two teams combined for 31 shots with Lehigh attempting 17 to the Owls' 14.
Morgan Basileo secured her first shutout of the season for the Owls, making nine saves on the night. Marissa Digenova attempted five shots with three on target. Miranda Royds earned a shutout with six saves for the Mountain Hawks.
Brown 2, UConn 0
UConn dropped to 2-2-1 on the season after a 2-0 defeat to Brown on Thursday night at Stevenson-Pincince Field. The Bears created the majority of the scoring chances in the first half and finally broke through with 2:49 left to go. With a scrum in front of the UConn goal, Malina Yago was able to poke home her chance to gain the lead for Brown.
The Huskies were able to generate some quality chances in the second half but were unable to find the back of the net. In the 66th minute, Duda Santin drilled the crossbar and the ricochet fell to the feet of Jessica Mazo. Mazo pulled her shot attempt wide. Moments later, Kess Elmore found Regan Schiappa on a beautiful cross inside the six but her header was saved on a great reaction play.
Northwestern 2, Cincinnati 0
Cincinnati dropped a 2-0 decision to visiting Northwestern Thursday night at Gettler Stadium. With the loss, the Bearcats fell to 1-4-0 on the year while the Wildcats improved to 2-2-1.
Northwestern took an early lead as the Wildcats struck in the 10th minute. Danika Austin drove down the right flank and played a ball in that came to Paige Miller, who back-heeled the ball past Madison Less for a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Marianna Annest played a looping ball into the box that was deflected and came to Nia Harris, who used her chest to deflect the ball into the netting for a 2-0 lead in the 68th minute.
