Kristyna Brabencova led all scorers with a career and game high 18 points, and Beatriz Jordao dropped in 12 points and grabbed a career high 14 rebounds as the USF women's basketball team dominated Jacksonville to start the 2020-21 season presented by Tampa General Hospital.

Brabencova, a sophomore forward from Brno, Czech Republic, paced four players in double digits on the day as the Bulls won their seventh straight season opener, and their 14th win all-time over the Dolphins (14-0). Joining Brabencova and Jordao – a forward from Pombal, Portugal – in double figures were Sydni Harvey (Nashville, Tenn.) with 14 points and Elisa Pinzan (Murano, Italy) with 11 points.

The Bulls (1-0) jumped on Jacksonville (0-2) early and never looked back pouring in 28 points in the first quarter and heading into the locker room at the break, leading 49-25. After the Dolphins played USF even in the third quarter, at 15-all, the Bulls heated back up again, on both ends of the floor, ending the game scoring 20 of the 26 points scored in the final quarter en route to the win.

USF received balanced scoring with nine of the 12 players that saw the court finding the scoring column, while the Green and Gold assisted on 29 of their 32 field goals made. Defensively, the Bulls held Jacksonville to no more than 15 points in any quarter during the game.
