Tulsa to Meet Mississippi State in Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

IRVING, Texas – Tulsa has been selected to play in the 2020 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.
 
The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl will take place Dec. 31 at noon ET and will be televised on ESPN. Tulsa will face Mississippi State in this year’s game, marking the first meeting between those programs.
 
Tulsa enjoyed a 6-2 season that saw the Golden Hurricane ranked No. 24 in the final College Football Playoff rankings. The Hurricane went 6-0 in regular-season American Athletic Conference play and fell 27-24 at Cincinnati on a field goal at the final gun.
 
Tulsa will make its 22nd appearance in a bowl game as the Golden Hurricane returns to postseason play for the first time since 2016. Tulsa has made two previous appearances in the Armed Forces Bowl – a 24-21 loss to BYU in 2011 and a 25-13 setback to Utah in 2006.
 
The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl will be played for the 18th time in 2020.  The bowl will be played at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas.
