In American Athletic Conference men's basketball action, Memphis and USF each picked up home wins Tuesday night (Dec. 8). USF (3-2) defeated Stetson, 73-62, while Memphis (4-2) took down Mississippi Valley State, 94-57.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — David Collins posted 18 points and nine rebounds as South Florida defeated Stetson 73-62 on Tuesday.

Collins made 8 of 10 shots.

Justin Brown had 14 points for South Florida (3-2). Alexis Yetna added 13 points and eight rebounds, and Caleb Murphy had 12 points and six assists.

Rob Perry had 15 points for the Hatters (0-4). Chase Johnston added 13 points and seven rebounds, and Mahamadou Diawara had 10 points.

Memphis 94, Mississippi Valley State 57 - Box Score

D.J. Jeffries led five Tigers in double figures with 21 points as Memphis defeated Mississippi Valley State, 94-57, at FedEx Fourm. 

Jeffries scored 21 points and added nine rebounds, while Boogie Ellis scored 18 points. Lester Quinones and Moussa Cisse each tallied double-doubles. Quinones recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds with seven assists, while Cisse added 14 points, 13 rebounds with four blocks.

Treylan Smith led Mississippi Valley State with 19 points.
