UConn's Bouknight, UCF's Green Jr. Earn Weekly Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I.—The American Athletic Conference announced its weekly men’s basketball honors for Feb. 10.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
James Bouknight, Fr., G, UConn
Bouknight averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in a pair of wins for the Huskies. It was his first two 20-point games of the season and his 23 against Cincinnati on Sunday (Feb. 10) was a season high.
 
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Darin Green Jr., G, UCF
Green Jr. averaged 19.5 points and 2.5 rebounds as the Knights picked up two wins on the week. He scored a season-high 26 with six 3-pointers against the Golden Hurricane on Sunday.
 
WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
 
Trevon Scott, Sr., F, Cincinnati
Scott averaged a double-double with 17.0 points and 12.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Bearcats, including a career day at UConn with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Nate Hinton, So., G, Houston
Hinton averaged a double-double with 11.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists as the Cougars moved into first place in The American standings with a pair of wins.
 
Justin Brown, Jr., G/F, USF
Brown tallied a big double-double with 14 points and a career-high 16 rebounds for the Bulls as they went on the road and defeated Memphis.
 
Quinton Rose, Sr., G, Temple
Rose averaged 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals in a 1-1 week for the Owls, becoming The American’s all-time leading scorer (1,718 points) with 10 points in overtime in a win over SMU.
 
Martins Igbanu, Sr., F, Tulsa
Igbanu recorded back-to-back career highs in points, averaging 29.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in two games for Tulsa.
