IRVING, Texas -- Memphis women's soccer senior Clarissa Larisey has been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, United Soccer Coaches announced Thursday.
Presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club, the MAC Hermann Trophy is regarded as the highest individual honor in college soccer. Semifinalists will be announced toward the end of spring competition. The field will then be narrowed down to three finalists, with the winner of the 2020-21 MAC Hermann Trophy announced in late May.
It is the second straight season Larisey has been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List. She was named to the list ahead of the 2019 season along with Tiger teammate Serena Dolan. Larisey was also voted the AAC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and named a Preseason All-Conference Team selection earlier this week.
The Ottawa, Ontario, native earned United Soccer Coaches All-America status after a breakout junior campaign in 2019. She registered a team-best 16 goals and four assists for 36 points as she was named The American's co-Offensive Player of the Year. Her 16 scores rank third-most in Memphis single-season history.
