UCF 3, Tulane 1 (25-13, 25-22, 16-25, 25-18)
UCF increased its conference record to 5-1 with a four-set victory against Tulane (25-13, 25-22, 16-25, 25-18).
McKenna Melville turned in a double-double with 14 kills and 10 digs in the UCF win. Nerissa Moravec hit .462 with six kills and six total blocks (two solo), and Chloe Sheer registered a team-high 20 digs.
Yvette Burcescu hit .444 with 13 kills and five block assists to lead the way for Tulane. Taylor Henigsman added 39 assists and 11 digs, and Lexie Douglas contributed 14 kills and four digs for the Green Wave.
Cincinnati 3, Temple 1 (25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18)
Cincinnati raced past Temple in four sets at home, taking the win by a 25-18, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18 final score.
Maria Mallon turned in 18 kills on .355 hitting with six service aces and eight digs to power Cincinnati. Kailea Carrier hit an impressive .565 with 15 kills and four block assists, and Emme Madden finished the day with 59 assists and nine digs.
Miray Bolukbasi led Temple with 19 kills while hitting .359 in the setback. Taylor Davenport hit .571 with eight kills and four total blocks.
Houston 3, South Florida 1 (28-30, 25-23, 25-10, 25-12)
Houston extended its season record to 5-1 in league matches by securing a win at South Florida in four sets. The Cougars downed the Bulls 28-30, 25-23, 25-10, 25-12.
Rachel Tullos hit .529 with 11 kills and five blocks to guide Houston in a balanced team effort. Abbie Jackson finished with 16 kills, five blocks and 18 digs, and Kate Georgiades added a team-high 28 digs.
Tizi Puljiz logged a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs for USF in the loss. Marta Cvitkovic narrowly missed a double-double with nine kills and 12 digs.
Wichita State 3, SMU 2 (22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8)
Wichita State earned a gritty road win in five sets at SMU on Sunday. The Shockers bounced back from an early deficit to take a 22-25, 25-16, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8 victory.
Brylee Kelly registered a match-high 29 kills to go along with three block assists and three digs for Wichita State. Natalie Foster hit at a .467 clip with 17 kills and eight block assists, and Kayce Litzau contributed 61 assists, five blocks and 13 digs.
Jamison Wheeler’s double-double of 16 kills and 10 digs led the way for SMU. Hannah Jacobs and Rachel Woulfe each posted 11 kills, and Bria Merchant led the Mustangs with 16 digs.
Tulsa 3, Memphis 1 (18-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-20)
Tulsa came away with an impressive showing on the road at Memphis. The Golden Hurricane responded after dropping the first set to defeat the Tigers 18-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-20.
Aysu Dalogullari recorded 15 kills and 11 digs on .257 hitting to lead Tulsa in the win. Kayley Cassaday contributed 13 kills, and Avery Kalsu had 44 assists with 17 digs.
Tabytha Toelke and Lexi Lewis tied for the Memphis team lead with 12 kills in the loss. Sabrina Bianco closed the day with 36 assists and 17 digs.
