South Florida picked up its second conference win of the season, cooling off red-hot Memphis 2-1 in Tampa. The Bulls outshot the Tigers 16-13 in the contest, including 10-9 in shots on goal.
Shion Soga opened the night’s scoring in the 25th minute, giving USF a 1-0 lead at 24:31. Soga provided the primary assist on a Ben Kaplan goal early in the second half that pushed the Bulls ahead 2-0 at 47:19. Maxi Galizzi picked up the lone Memphis goal at 50:14 to trim the deficit to 2-1.
