Memphis continued its recent run of clutch form with a third straight conference win, stunning No. 10/8 SMU 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night. The Tigers controlled the run of play with a 15-11 edge in shots in the contest, trailing for all of 26 seconds following a wild sequence late in regulation.
 
Maxi Galizzi led off the scoring for Memphis by finding the back of the net at 26:10, pushing the Tigers ahead 1-0. SMU tied the match by way of Tobin Shanks, who finished a Harvey Castro assist at 36:57. Bailey Sparks looked as though he won the match for SMU in the 87th minute, striking a right-footed shot into the net at 86:18 to bring the Mustangs all the way back with a 2-1 lead. Just 26 seconds later, Galizzi bagged a brace into the top center of the goal to force overtime at 2-2 with an improbable response at 86:44.
 
Both teams traded opportunities in the overtime period before Memphis drew a penalty opportunity in the 99th minute thanks to a second yellow card from SMU. Artur De Luca buried the attempt from the top into the top left of the net to give the Tigers the victory.

South Florida got into the win column in conference play with a 3-0 shutout at Temple. The Bulls outshot the Owls 13-8, converting on three of their six shots on goal in the victory.
 
Segun Afolabi opened the USF scoring at 12:00, finishing a Shion Soga assist for the 1-0 lead. Jeffrey Copper upped the advantage to 2-0 at 43:53, scoring unassisted to send the Bulls to the break in front 2-0. Henrique Gallina capped the USF scoring at 51:31, delivering a goal to up the margin to 3-0.
