TULSA, Okla. -- Davis Brin threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns as Tulsa kept its bowl hopes alive with a 44-10 win against Temple Saturday at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
The Golden Hurricane (5-6, 4-3 American), which needed wins in its final three games to get to the six-win bowl eligibility threshold, is two-thirds of the way there following victories against Tulane and Temple in successive weeks. Tulsa closes the regular season next Saturday at SMU.
Josh Johnson had nine receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown, while JuanCarlos Santana had five catches for 59 yards and a TD.
Shamari Brooks rushed for 60 yards on 11 carries, while Deneric Prince and Steven Anderson added touchdown runs for the Golden Hurricane, which had a 513-293 advantage in total offense.
Temple quarterback Justin Lynch was 22-for-37 for 162 yards and a touchdown and an interception as the Owls (3-8, 1-6 American) suffered their sixth straight loss.
