LAS VEGAS (AP) — Johnny Davis scored a career-high 30 points and Wisconsin beat No. 12 Houston 65-63 in the Maui Invitational semifinals Tuesday.
The Cougars erased a 20-point halftime deficit and cut Wisconsin’s lead to two on Kyler Edwards’ 3-pointer with 40 seconds left. With the final possession, Jamal Shead drove baseline and passed to Edwards, who wasn’t expecting the feed, costing Houston a chance at a final attempt.
Davis finished 10 of 18 from the floor, including 4 for 7 from 3-point range, and was 6 for 6 at the free throw line.
Tyler Wahl had nine points and seven rebounds for the Badgers (4-1).
Houston (4-1) was led by Edwards, who had 18 points — 15 in the second half via five 3-pointers. Marcus Sasser added 11.
Toledo 68, Tulane 67 - Box Score
NASSAU, Bahamas -- — JT Shumate had 19 points and 10 rebounds, Setric Millner Jr. added 18 points and 12 rebounds and Toledo held off Tulane 68-67 on Tuesday night.
Ryan Rollins chipped in 16 points for the Rockets (4-1).
Jalen Cook had 25 points for the Green Wave (2-3).
Arkansas 73, Cincinnati 67 - Box Score
KANSAS CITY -- David DeJulius had 24 points, but it was not enough as Arkansas outlasted Cincinnati, 73-67, in the Hall of Fame Classic Final.
The Razorbacks outrebounded the Bearcats (5-1), 46-32, and were led by Au'Diese Toney, who had 19 points and nine rebounds.
DeJulius made two free throws to give the Bearcats a 67-66 lead with 2:31 remaining, but that would be the final score for Cincinnati, as Arkansas sank seven free throws to close out the game.
