Memphis cooled off SMU in conference play Wednesday afternoon, snapping the Mustangs’ three-match winning streak. The Tigers took the win by a 22-25, 25-20, 25-22, 30-28 score.
Tabytha Toelke finished with a team-high 16 kills and added 14 digs in the win for Memphis. Miaya Smith hit .323 with 15 kills and four blocks and Sabrina Bianco contributed 53 assists, three service aces and 16 digs to the Tigers’ winning cause.
Hannah Jacobs logged 14 kills, five block assists and two digs in the setback for SMU. Jadyn Bauss turned in 11 kills and 18 digs and Rachel Woulfe chipped in 11 kills, two block assists and 18 digs for the Mustangs.
