Tulsa lost in the opening round of the 2021 National Invitational Volleyball Championship (NIVC) against UTEP in a match at Colorado State. The Golden Hurricane dropped a four-set decision 18-25, 25-21, 17-25, 19-25 to the Miners.
Kayley Cassaday hit .333 with 16 kills and six digs to lead Tulsa in the setback. Maggie Hembree registered a .647 hitting percentage with 12 kills and Callie Cook logged seven total blocks (two solo) for Tulsa.
