Cincinnati, Tulane Pick Up Sunday Wins

Cincinnati won its fourth-consecutive league game and Tulane won its second road win in three games in American Athletic Conference men's basketball action on Sunday, Feb. 14.

Cincinnati 69, UCF 68 - Box Score

CINCINNATI (AP) — Keith Williams and David DeJulius scored 14 points each and Mason Madsen hit the clinching free throw with 2.1-seconds left as Cincinnati held off UCF for a 69-68 win on Sunday.

Darius Perry hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer after Madsen made 1 of 2 free throws following a Perry miss with less than five seconds to go. Madsen, who made a pair from the line with 11 seconds to go, missed his first free throw before his second one rolled in.

Keith Williams had eight rebounds to lead the Bearcats (7-7, 5-4 American Athletic Conference), who won their fourth consecutive game. Mika Adams-Woods added 13 points. Chris Vogt had 11 points.

Brandon Mahan had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Knights (6-11, 4-10). Perry added 17 points. C.J. Walker had 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Bearcats leveled the season series against the Knights with the win. UCF defeated Cincinnati 75-70 on Dec. 22.

Tulane 62, USF 59 - Box Score

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Jaylen Forbes had 19 points and Tulane made 6 of 8 free throws in the last 20 seconds to hold off USF 62-59 on Sunday.

Forbes went 2 for 2 and Gabe Watson, who had 10 points, was 3 of 4 to help the Green Wave lead by six before Xavier Castaneda hit a 3-pointer as time ran out for the Bulls.

Kevin Cross had 13 points for Tulane (9-8, 4-8 American Athletic Conference).

Justin Brown had 16 points for the Bulls (7-7, 3-5). David Collins added 10 points. Castaneda had six assists.
