Wichita State's Dennis, UCF's Adams Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the final week of the 2020-21 regular season.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Dexter Dennis, Jr., Guard, Wichita State
Dennis helped the Shockers clinch The American’s regular-season championship by averaging 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 60.0 percent from the field in a pair of Wichita State wins.
 
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Isaiah Adams, Guard, UCF
Adams propelled UCF to two wins last week with 17.0 points and 4.5 rebounds a game in addition to shooting 50 percent from both the field and from 3-point range.
 
HONOR ROLL
Keith Williams, Sr., Guard, Cincinnati
Williams averaged 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two games for the Bearcats last week.
 
Jayden Gardner, Jr., Forward, East Carolina
Gardner recorded 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game last week in a pair of games for the Pirates.
 
DeJon Jarreau, Sr., Guard, Houston
Jarreau posted 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in a win against Memphis on Sunday, March 7.
 
DeAndre Williams, Jr., Forward, Memphis
Williams averaged 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two games for the Tigers last week.
 
Brandon Rachal, Sr., Guard, Tulsa
Rachal tallied 16 points and nine rebounds in the Golden Hurricane’s lone conference game last week. He averaged 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games overall.
