Houston 5, USF 2 (Game 2) - Box Score
UCF 6, East Carolina 1 - Box Score

Cincinnati 6, Wichita State 5 - Box Score
CINCINNATI – Nathan Moore gave up one hit in five shutout innings of relief and an RBI single by Paul Komistek in the bottom of the seventh led the University of Cincinnati baseball team to a 6-5 win over Wichita State on Sunday at UC Baseball Stadium.

Moore (2-0) was nearly flawless out of the pen, striking out six, including fanning the side, in order, to close the game out in the ninth. He went 5.0 innings, giving up no runs, one hit, a walk with his six strikeouts.

Cincinnati (19-18, 8-8 American Athletic Conference) took three of four from the Shockers (20-15, 8-7 AAC) and won its second-straight league series.

Komistek's RBI single broke a 5-5 tie and plated the go-ahead run in the form of Joey Bellini who had led off with a single, advanced on a sacrifice bunt by Eric Santiago and then hustled home on the single to right field.

Wichita State scored four runs in the third via a Craig Cadena two-out grand slam to left field and added the tying run on an RBI single to left center from Jack Sigrist which scored Cooper Elliot from second and knotted things up at 5-5.

The Bearcats had again found some early offense, scoring five in the second for the lead. Komistek started the second inning by hitting the first pitch he saw off the scoreboard in right field, giving the Bearcats a 1-0 lead. UC would lead 5-0 after two with a two-run homer by Tanner Holen to left field and an RBI double by Joey Bellini

USF 4, Houston 0 (Game 1 - 7 innings) - Box Score
Houston 5, USF 2 (Game 2) - Box Score
HOUSTON, Texas – For the second day in a row, the USF Bulls (15-19, 5-7 AAC) split a doubleheader at the University of Houston (15-20, 3-9 AAC) to conclude a four-game series on Sunday. Collin Sullivan (Randolph, Mass.) threw a two-hit shutout in the opener for a 4-0 victory, and the Cougars prevailed in the finale, 5-2.

Due to weather-related schedule changes earlier in the weekend, Sunday's twinbill featured a seven inning affair in game one followed by a nine inning contest in game two.

Game 1
Sullivan (2-1) has been absolutely dominant on the mound for USF in two of his last three starts. Sunday's outing was the second career shutout for the redshirt senior, and first since May 17, 2019 against Wichita State.

Sullivan allowed just three base runners, and struck out seven in his fourth career complete game.

Jake Sullivan (Tampa) staked his battery mate to a 1-0 lead with an RBI-single in the top of the second inning, and chased home another run with a sac fly in the fourth.

Riley Hogan (Orlando) continued his offensive tear with a two-run double in the seventh which was more than enough cushion for C. Sullivan to finish his work in the bottom of the frame for the win.

Game 2
Houston grabbed three runs in the seventh inning, including the go-ahead RBI-double from Brad Burckel to slip past USF, 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Houston starter Carter Henry (1-2) delivered a gutsy performance to help the Cougars earn the four-game split. The right-hander held the Bulls to 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position in 8.0 innings while working around eight hits alongside two runs, one walk and a strikeout.

The Cougars (15-20, 3-9 AAC) rallied with two outs in the seventh as Brandon Uhse drew a six-pitch walk and came around from first on a Burckel double into the left field corner. Two batters later, Ryan Hernandez punched a full-count, two-RBI single into left center for a 5-2 lead.

Houston reliever Sean Bretz tossed a perfect 1-2-3 ninth inning to lock up his first save of the season. Houston's top-two batters, Uhse and Burckel, combined for four hits and as many runs.

UCF 6, East Carolina 1 - Box Score
GREENVILLE, N.C. – Jack Sinclair had his best outing of the season, allowing just one run and striking out seven, to lead the UCF baseball team to a 6-1 win over seventh-ranked ECU to earn a series split Sunday afternoon at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

Sinclair's (2-4) seven strikeouts were a season best for the right-hander, as were his 7.0 innings pitched and 106 pitches. He allowed just four hits and walked only two to lead the Knights (19-21, 9-7) to their ninth American Athletic Conference victory of the season.

UCF's offensive support started in the second when Gephry Pena led off with a walk and came around to score when Pablo Ruiz drove him in with his first of two RBI on the day.

It was the third inning that made the difference though, as UCF put up four runs to take an early 5-0 lead that it never relinquished.

After two walks and a hit-by-pitch loaded the bases, Alex Freeland singled through the infield to drive in the first run of the frame. It was then Tom Josten who cleared the bases with a double to the left-centerfield gap to give UCF the big advantage.

The Pirates (28-7, 10-2) got one run back in the fifth with a solo home run from Zach Agnos, but that was all ECU was able to muster.

Tulane 12, Memphis 3 - Box Score
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tulane University baseball team (21-13; 10-1 AAC) left no doubt on Sunday, as it posted a convincing 12-3 win over the University of Memphis (12-26; 2-14) to complete the series sweep and pick up its 10th straight win Sunday afternoon at FedEx Park.

Tulane's 10-game winning streak is its longest since 2006 when the Green Wave won 10 in-a-row. The Green Wave's winning streak marks just the 20th time in the 114-year history of the program that Tulane has won 10-or-more games.

The Green Wave's 10-game winning streak also marks the longest in the Travis Jewett era.

With the series sweep, Tulane has won seven straight games over Memphis and now sits in first place in the American Athletic Conference. In addition, the win moved Tulane to 9-1 in league play for the first time in program history.

Tulane closed the game with 16 hits and limited the Tigers to just three. The Green Wave have now collected 10-or-more hits in 14 games this season.

Redshirt freshman Simon Baumgardt led the way offensively for the Green Wave, as he collected a career-high four hits and tied a career high with two runs scored.

Teammates Collin Burns, Bennett Lee, Chase Engelhard, Luis Aviles and Ethan Groff all turned in two-hit performances.

Burns and Lee also extended their respective hitting streaks to 17 and 16 games, respectively. Burns, Engelhard and Groff, who was a late addition to the lineup, all drove in three runs.

The Green Wave scored early and often to open the game, as they plated six runs on six hits in the first inning. The Green Wave's offensive explosion in the opening frame was more than enough cushion for Tulane right-handed starter Tyler Hoffman to pick up his third win on the year.
