Memphis dropped a competitive 3-2 decision in the regular-season opener at Ohio State on Friday night. The teams each attempted 11 shots, with Ohio State holding a narrow 5-4 edge in shots on goal.
Emanuel Santos drove home a penalty kick at 10:20 to counter a successful Ohio State penalty in the eighth minute to tie the match at 1-1. Gabriel Christensen found the back of the net at 89:50 to narrow the final gap to 3-2.
