For the second straight contest, Temple battled an opponent to a scoreless draw as part of the team’s New Jersey road trip to start the season. The Owls attempted 11 corner kicks to the six of Rutgers, limiting the Scarlet Knights to three shots on goal in 110 minutes.
Temple goalkeeper Eoin Gawronski logged his second straight solo clean sheet by stopping all three Rutgers shots on frame. He stopped his second penalty kick during in overtime in as many starts, thwarting a game-winning attempt by Rutgers at 97:29.
