Houston picked up a pair of wins to close play at Texas A&M, sweeping UTSA (25-21, 25-21, 25-17) and downing Albany in four sets (25-9, 25-21, 20-25, 30-28).
Abbie Jackson hit .262 with 16 kills and eight digs against UTSA, and Annie Cooke chipped in 27 assists and eight digs. Cooke exploded for 52 assists and seven digs against Albany and Kate Georgiades turned in 23 digs.
South Florida 3, Jacksonville 0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-14)
South Florida completed a tremendous weekend Jacksonville undefeated with a 3-0 sweep of the host Dolphins (25-18. 25-21, 25-14).
Marta Cvitkovic smashed 14 kills and a .440 clip to power USF and Amiree Hendricks-Walker registered five total blocks. CC Clausen led the Bulls with 12 digs.
SMU 3, Omaha 2 (25-15, 15-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-12)
SMU capped a weekend tournament at Omaha with a five-set victory over the host Mavericks. The Mustangs won a competitive 25-15, 15-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-12 decision.
Rachel Woulfe hit a tremendous .522 with 13 kills, five block assists and three digs for SMU, and Lily Heim contributed 47 assists, six service aces and five digs. Makayla Miller finished with three service aces and a team-high 15 digs for the Mustangs.
Tulsa 3, Oral Roberts 1 (25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 27-25)
Tulsa defended its home floor with a four-set victory against Oral Roberts, notching a 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, 27-25 victory.
Kayley Cassaday went for a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs to guide Tulsa in the win. Avery Kalsu finished the match with 33 assists and 21 digs, and Maggie Hembree logged six total blocks.
Wichita State 3, Delaware 2 (25-16, 20-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-11)
Wichita State won a five-set battle with Delaware to finish its weekend trip to Kanas, emerging with a 25-16, 20-25, 26-24, 20-25, 15-11 decision.
Kailin Newsome filled the stat sheet with a team-high 18 kills to go along with 14 digs for Wichita State, and Lily Liekweg fashioned a match-high 25 digs.
Towson 3, Temple 0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-11)/Temple 3, Lehigh 0 (25-18, 25-21, 28-26)
Temple split two contests at Towson on Saturday, losing to the host school 18-25, 22-25, 11-25) before sweeping Lehigh 25-18, 25-21, 28-26.
Georgia 3, UCF 2 (25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14)
UCF was unable to capitalize on a two sets to one lead in losing a five-set decision to Georgia. The Bulldogs downed the Knights 25-20, 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14.
McKenna Melville hit .366 with 30 kills and 10 digs in defeat for UCF.
Kansas City 3, Memphis 2 (17-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-12, 15-12)/Marshall 3, Memphis 2 (15-25, 25-12, 25-17, 22-25, 15-11)
Memphis dropped a pair of heartbreaking five-set decisions to Kansas City (25-17, 25-21, 20-25, 12-25, 12-15) and Marshall (25-15, 12-25, 17-25, 25-22, 11-15) at SEMO.
Sabrina Bianco recorded 35 assists, five aces and 12 digs in the Kansas City match, as Bailey Houlihan posted 23 digs. Bianco had 44 assists and nine digs in the nightcap with Marshall, and Houlihan was equally impressive with 31 digs.
Missouri State 3, Tulane 0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-22)
Tulane finished its trip to Missouri State on the wrong side of a 12-25, 17-25, 22-25 final score on Saturday.
Lexie Douglas and Kayla Dinkins each registered six kills for Tulane in the setback.
