UCF 3, East Carolina 0 – Box Score
ORLANDO, Fla.— In the first Space Game for volleyball, the Knights (15-1) blasted off with a 3-0 sweep (25-11, 25-17,25-15) over East Carolina (8-11) on Citronaut Sunday in The Venue.
 
East Carolina came out with an ace to take the lead in set one. The Knights quickly answered back with a kill from Kari Zumach. Followed by a block from McKenna Melville and Abby Hansen to take the lead. UCF went on a 13-0 scoring run with powerful serves from Claudia Dillon.
 
The Knights started off set two with a kill from Zumach. The Pirates tied it up at one, but UCF bounced right back with another kill from Zumach. The Black and Gold held onto the lead for the remainder of the set.
 
Set three started out just like set two with the Knights taking the lead followed by East Carolina tying it up. Abby Hansen helped UCF take the lead 2-1, and ran with the lead.
 
Melville led the Knights offense with 19 kills along with 11 digs and four blocks. Zumach posted 13 kills with one block.
 
Chloe Scheer produced 12 digs on the defensive side. Amber Olson led with 35 assists and 11 digs.
 
Cincinnati 3, Tulsa 1 – Box Score
CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team powered past Tulsa in four sets on Sunday afternoon in Fifth Third Arena.
 
Cincinnati's defense shined as the Bearcats were +16 in digs (83-67). Entering this weekend, Tulsa led the country in digs per set at 19.72. The Bearcats held the Golden Hurricane to three under that.
 
Senior libero Payton Frederick steadied the Bearcats' backrow with a match-high 27 digs, one shy of her career high. She was a perfect 17-of-17 on service reception.
 
Freshman Carly Glendinning notched her third career double-double with a season-best 18 digs to go along with a match-high 16 kills. Sophomore setter Emme Madden dished out 50 assists and added 14 digs and three blocks on defense.
 
The Bearcats also outblocked the Golden Hurricane, 10 to four, thanks to the efforts of middle blockers Abby Walker and Kailea Carrier.
 
Walker hit a season-best .522 (13-1-22) with five blocks while Carrier hit .375 (8-2-16) with four stuffs. 
 
Temple 3, South Florida 2 – Box Score
TAMPA, Fla. – The Temple Owls volleyball team defeated South Florida in five sets on Sunday afternoon to improve to 2-6 in The American. South Florida falls to 1-5 in The American with the loss.
 
Taylor Davenport led the Owls with 20 kills. Peyton Boyd added 13 kills for Temple. Magdalena Rogalska and Patrycja Zielinska paced the match with 22 assists each.  Falanika Danielson led the defense with 23 digs.
 
Marta Cvitkovic (16), Makayla Washington (14) and Amanda DeWitt (10) each finished with double-digit kills for the Bulls. Kelsey O’Loughlin paced the match with 47 assists. Alexis Williams had a match-high 24 digs.
 
SMU 3, Tulane 0 – Box Score
DALLAS, Texas – London Austin-Roark tied a school record for the most blocks in a three-set match, helping SMU to a 3-0 triumph over Tulane at Moody Coliseum Sunday.
 
The Mustangs improved to 13-7, including 6-2 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Green Wave fell to 6-13, 1-7.
 
Rachel Woulfe and Marieke van der Mark paced SMU with nine kills each, with six other players notching at least one.
 
Trailing 5-3 in the opening set, the Mustangs rattled off 22 of the final 32 rallies and gaining a 1-0 advantage. Tatum Ticknor delivered her first on consecutive serves after a Natalie Perdue kill sparked a 9-0 run, pushing the home side ahead 12-5.
 
Tulane sputtered on offense, hitting .046 (26-21-109) in the match, with a high in game two. The Green Wave converted .062, converting eight of 32 attempts with six miscues.
 
Trailing 10-9 in the second set, van der Mark sparked a 10-3 rally and moving the Mustangs in front for good. They led wire-to-wire in the final stanza, closing out their sixth sweep of the season.
 
Houston 3, Memphis 0 – Box Score
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Houston volleyball team remained undefeated in American Athletic conference play behind a 27-dig performance from junior Kate Georgiades in a three-set sweep against Memphis on Sunday.
 
Houston (17-2, 8-0 The American) exits the weekend of matches with two 3-0 victories, its third time this season it has posted back-to-back sweeps. The Cougars have won their last nine game, their longest win streak under head coach David Rehr, and the last nine matches in the all-time series against Memphis (14-7, 4-4 The American).
 
Georgiades’ 27 digs are the third most in program history in a three-set match. Senior Abbie Jackson posted her sixth double-double of the season and 27th of her career with 12 kills and 14 digs. Graduate Isabel Theut recorded her 41st career double-digit kill performance by leading the match with 14.
 
Overall, the Cougars notched 11 blocks behind six block assists from sophomore Kellen Morin and five from senior Rachel Tullos.
