IRVING, Texas The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s soccer awards for the week ending Sunday, October 30.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Oscar Resano, So., F, South Florida
Resano helped the Bulls clinch a spot in the conference tournament with wins over Charlotte and Memphis. He scored the game-winner against the 49ers, taking a throw in with four seconds left and heading it in.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Wes Bottenburg, Fr., D, Tulsa
Bottenburg kept Tulsa alive in the race for the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, anchoring a backline that allowed just one shot on goal against UCF. He also headed in the game-winning goal in the 75th minute.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Neil Strauber, 5th, Florida Atlantic
Strauber was a menace in the net, ending with six saves as the Owls upset No. 12 SMU and moved into sixth place in The American with one match remaining.
 
Rookie of the Week
Andreas Raisanen, Fr., F, Florida Atlantic
Raisanen put the Owls on top of No. 12 SMU in the 80th minute, scoring the game-winning goal to push Florida Atlantic to the win.

Tom Abrahamsson, Sr., D, Florida Atlantic
Abrahamsson anchored the Owls defense in the win over No. 12 SMU and assisted on the first goal of the match.
 
Sebastian Zettl, Fr., MF, Florida Atlantic
Zettl scored the initial goal of the match for Florida Atlantic as the Owls went on to win 2-1.
 
Joao Domingues, Fr., MF, FIU
Domingues helped keep the No. 1 offense in the nation to just six shots on goal, and he assisted on the first goal of the match in the win over No. 22 Charlotte.
 
Rasmus Tobinski, Sr., F, FIU
Tobinski scored the first goal of the match for the Panthers as FIU defeated No. 22 Charlotte and moved into first place in The American.
 
Sergio Pineros-Mayorga, Jr., D, South Florida
Pineros-Mayorga anchored the backline for the Bulls, allowing just eight shots in two matches to go 2-0. He also scored a goal in the win over Memphis.
