Tulane Takes 24-9 Win Against East Carolina

NEW ORLEANS -- Michael Pratt threw for 326 yards and two touchdowns and Tulane improved to 5-1 with a 24-9 win against East Carolina Saturday at Yulman Stadium.

The Green Wave moved to 2-0 in American Athletic Conference play as the Green Wave scored 10 points off of two Pirate turnovers.

Pratt, who had missed Tulane's last game with an undisclosed injury, completed 27 of 34 passes in his return to the lineup, which was highlighted by a 44-yard bomb to Duece Watts down the right sideline late in the third quarter.

Tulane's defense held East Carolina scoreless in the second half as linebacker Macon Clark finished with eight tackles, two tackles for loss and an interception.

East Carolina's defense registered five sacks of Pratt, but the Pirates were undone by two second-half interceptions. Holton Ahlers went 32-for-51 for 288 yards and a touchdown for ECU, which fell to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in The American.
