An Appreciation: The American's Lisa Zanecchia

02.11.22

Today marks Lisa Zanecchia’s last day at the conference and I want to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate her for over 40 years of loyal and outstanding service.  Lisa has done a tremendous job in more areas than I can list, and has made countless friends, not only in the conference, but in the college community and beyond. She has been a valuable resource for me, the conference, and all those who have dealt with us over the years. She was the primary organizer of our many conference functions over the years and a constant and reassuring presence at the events.

Lisa was instrumental in the major transition from the Big East to the American.  And although not planning to move to Dallas when the office relocated in June of 2020, Lisa agreed to stay on and work remotely through the pandemic until I was able to find a new executive assistant in Dallas. I appreciate her willingness to do that and her seamless contributions in that role.

We will miss Lisa, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter, whether it be a well-deserved retirement or another position of importance.

All the best to Lisa!
