IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending March 7.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kylie Nause • Sr. • Cincinnati • Phoenix, Md.
Nause extended her streak to six consecutive games with a hat trick to help Cincinnati to two road wins last week. She scored five goals with a draw control and a caused turnover in a 17-11 win against Kent State and added five goals with an assist a ground ball and a caused turnover in a 17-5 win against Akron. Nause leads The American with 27 goals this season.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK

Mastropietro had seven goals, four assists, four ground balls, 18 draw controls and three caused turnovers in a pair of road wins last week. She scored four goals with three assists, two ground balls, 14 draw controls and a caused turnover in a 19-11 win at Kennesaw State, while she added three goals, an assist, two ground balls, four draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 14-11 come-from-behind win against UMBC. Mastropietro’s 14 draw controls against Kennesaw State rank third on The American’s single-game chart.

Mlkvy led a Bearcat defense that limited its two opponents to 8.0 goals per game in a 2-0 week. She had two ground balls, seven draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 17-11 win against Kent State and had four ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers in a 17-5 win against Akron as Cincinnati held the Zips only 14 shots. Mlkvy leads the Bearcats in both ground balls (14) and caused turnovers (nine).

LoPinto had a hat trick in Florida’s 14-13 setback to No. 5 Stony Brook, including two goals that tied the score in the Gators’ comeback bid. She scored a key goal late in the third quarter to knot the game at 11-11, capping Florida’s comeback from an early 7-2 deficit. LoPinto ranks second on the Gators in both goals (11) and points (21) in her rookie season.
