CINCINNATI, Ohio – Less than 24 hours removed from dropping a lopsided game of their own, the University of South Florida Bulls rebounded in a big way to claim a decisive series victory with a 19-5 win at the University of Cincinnati on Sunday afternoon in the finale of a three-game series.
The Bulls' 21 hits on Sunday are the second-most on record in program history. USF's 19 runs are the most since February 21, 2014 against Penn State.
South Florida improves to 23-17 (4-8 American) after winning two of three in the weekend series while Cincinnati falls to 17-21 (7-5).
The true freshman quartet of Bobby Boser, Marcus Brodil, Jackson Mayo and Sonny Rao combined to go 13-for-23 with 12 runs and 12 RBI.
The American Athletic Conference leader in hits (63) and RBI (47) Carmine Lane went 2-for-5 with a walk and three RBI while playing both third and second base throughout the contest.

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University baseball team (26-14-1; 8-4) cruised to a 10-5 victory over East Carolina University (24-17; 7-3) on Sunday afternoon inside Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
The Green Wave offense exploded on Sunday, scoring in all but one inning of the ball game against last season's AAC regular-season champions. Tulane ended ECU's 19 long series win streak, which dated back to 2019. This weekend's win marks the first series victory over ECU in the Travis Jewett era.
With the win, Tulane now jumps one game over ECU to top the AAC standings with an 8-4 conference record.
Third-baseman Brady Hebert had three hits and three RBI, while picking up his second and third home runs of the season.
Freshman Michael Massey took the hill for the Wave and allowed one earned run while striking out three over five innings of work all after giving up a home run on the second pitch of the game.
The Pirates Jake Hunter got his second loss of the season by giving up three earned runs on two hits over 1.2 innings of work.

WICHITA, Kan. – UCF Baseball (24-16, 8-4) scored four runs in the second and fifth innings to down Wichita State (13-27, 2-10), 8-2 on Sunday to complete the sweep. Ruddy Gomez improved to 4-0 on the season, working four innings and allowing one run on three hits. He struck out five batters in relief.
Wichita State opened the scoring in the first, before Cameron Crain wiggled out of the bases loaded jam. UCF responded in the second as Michael Brooks grounded into a double play to score Andrew Sundean. With two outs, Ryan Taylor singled to shortstop to score Noah Orlando and Riley Wash doubled to left to score Taylor. Gephry Pena capped off a four-run inning with a single to right to score Wash and give the Knights a 4-1 lead.
In the fifth, The Knights bats would continue to stay hot as Noah Orlando singled to center field to score Lex Boedicker and Pena. Michael Brooks cleared the bases with two outs, tripling to right field to score Orlando and Trent Taylor.
UCF scored seven of their eight runs with two outs on Sunday and batted .385 with runners in scoring position.
Houston 7, Memphis 5 -

HOUSTON – University of Houston senior Ryan Hernandez clubbed a grand slam, and the Cougars rode a strong start from junior Nathan Medrano, taking the series from Memphis with a 7-5 win on Sunday afternoon from Sanders Field at Schroeder Park.
Hernandez accounted for five RBIs highlighted by a 346-foot grand slam including a four-run fifth inning and unlocked a one-all tie. With the result, Houston (26-14, 7-5 American) notched its seventh consecutive home weekend series victory.
Medrano (5-3) held Memphis (18-18, 4-8 American) to four hits and three runs (none earned) while striking out three in 6.2 innings. The right-hander, who tossed 2.0 scoreless on Tuesday against Houston Baptist, did not allow an earned run on the week.
After the Tigers trimmed their deficit to two runs in the seventh, the Cougars answered right back thanks to back-to-back RBI-doubles from redshirt sophomore Anthony Tulimero and freshman Cameron Nickens, chasing sophomore reliever JT Durham from the game.
In his third appearance of the weekend, Cougar junior closer Ben Sears locked up his eighth save, working around three hits while allowing one run in 1.1 innings. Junior Alex Lopez paced the Cougars with three hits and scored a pair of runs.
Memphis sophomore starter Blake Wimberley (2-5) drew the loss, allowing five runs on six hits with four walks and five strikeouts in 4.2 innings. For a third straight game, Houston took a lead in the first inning, this time thanks to a six-pitch bases-loaded walk to Hernandez.
