Total Of 31 American Athletes Qualify For 2022 NCAA DI Track & Field Championships

IRVING, Texas The American Athletic Conference saw 31 student-athletes advance through the preliminary rounds of the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at a pair of regional sites that hosted competition from May 25-28.
 
Houston led the way with 10 total qualifiers, including relays, to pace The American. The UCF women’s squad added seven competitors which included a relay squad, followed by four athletes from South Florida. Cincinnati and Memphis will each be represented by three national qualifiers apiece.
 
Qualifiers from the regional prelims are set to take part in the national portion of the 2022 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on June 8-11.
