SPRINGFIELD, Mass.– University of South Florida senior guard Sammie Puisis was named to the 2024 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list as one of the nation’s top 20 shooting guards, announced on Tuesday by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and Women’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Puisis averaged 15.6 points per game for the Bulls in 2022-23, the fifth best mark in The American. She led the league in three-point percentage (.387) and made the fifth most three pointers in conference history (109). Her 109 made three-pointers ranked fifth in NCAA Division I. Puisis scored in double-digits in 29 games, including 11 20-point performances.
Puisis, the 2022-23 American Newcomer of the Year and Second Team All-Conference selection, was selected to the Preseason American All-Conference First Team for the 2023-24 season.
