Florida Atlantic men's soccer (5-6-3) has its first winning streak of the 2023 season. The Owls have won two straight after dispatching Florida Gulf Coast 3-1 at home on Tuesday night.
Zach Hassell got the goal scoring started in the 22nd minute. Noah Kvifte's cross found Hassell all alone in the six-yard box and the junior made no mistake with the finish for his third goal of the season. 11 minutes later, Leon Reilhac doubled the lead off a pass into the penalty area from Oliver Moller-Jensen.
Victor Claudel added an insurance marker with just under 10 minutes left in the second half. FGCU scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute to break the shutout but the Owls still cruised home in the final few minutes.
