Charlotte 62, Utah Valley 45 - Box Score
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Dishon Jackson had 16 points in Charlotte's 62-45 win over Utah Valley on Wednesday night.

Jackson added seven rebounds for the 49ers (2-1). Igor Milicic Jr. scored 15 points while shooting 5 for 9, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc, and added 12 rebounds. Lu'Cye Patterson had 13 points and was 5 of 12 shooting, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 5 from the line.

Drake Allen led the Wolverines (2-1) in scoring, finishing with 12 points, six rebounds and two steals. Utah Valley also got 10 points from Caleb Stone-Carrawell. In addition, Trevin Dorius finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

USC Upstate 83, East Carolina 81 - Box Score
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) Trae Broadnax scored 20 points as South Carolina Upstate beat East Carolina 83-81 on Wednesday night.

Broadnax added six rebounds for the Spartans (2-2). Justin Bailey was 6 of 15 shooting, including 4 for 10 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 3 from the line to add 19 points. Miguel Ayesa shot 4 for 9, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 14 points.

RJ Felton led the Pirates (2-1) in scoring, finishing with 33 points, nine rebounds, two steals and three blocks. Ezra Ausar added 24 points and eight rebounds for East Carolina. In addition, Quentin Diboundje had nine points and seven rebounds.

Central Michigan 68, South Florida 63 - Box Score
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Anthony Pritchard scored 22 points as Central Michigan beat South Florida 68-63 on Wednesday night.

Pritchard also contributed six rebounds, five assists, and three steals for the Chippewas (1-3). Markus Harding scored 13 points while shooting 4 of 5 from the field and 4 for 6 from the line, and added five rebounds. Paul McMillan IV was 4 of 8 shooting (2 for 3 from 3-point range) to finish with 10 points.

Chris Youngblood finished with 20 points for the Bulls (1-1). Selton Miguel added 16 points and three steals for South Florida. Corey Walker Jr. also had nine points and nine rebounds.

No. 19 Texas 80, Rice 64 - Box Score
AUSTIN, Texas -- (AP) — Tyrese Hunter scored 18 points, and No. 19 Texas defeated Rice 80-64 Wednesday night, extending its season-opening winning streak to three games.

Hunter shot 3 for 5 from 3-point distance and the Longhorns (3-0) hit 10 of 22 (45.5%) overall.

Kadin Shedrick scored 15 points, Max Abmas added 13 and Dillon Mitchell finished with a game-best 13 rebounds for Texas.

Rice (1-2), which made 22 3-pointers with 40% accuracy in its first two games, was slowed by the Longhorns' defense and hit just 4 of 22 (18.2%) shots from long distance.

Anthony Selden led Rice with 17 points. Travis Evee scored 11 and Max Fiedler was limited to seven points, less than half his average.

Rice coach Scott Pera said the Owls had their share of open 3-point shots despite the Longhorns' defensive effort, particularly in the first half, when they missed 8 of 10.

Texas broke loose with a flurry of 3-pointers early in the second half, just as it did in its last win, against Delaware State on Friday.

Brock Cunningham made the first 3-pointer after a steal, putting Texas ahead by 15 points. Cunningham finished with three steals. Abmas followed the Cunningham 3 with a pair of his own.

Texas made six 3-point baskets, including three by Hunter, on the way to a 41-32 lead at halftime.

The Longhorns had eight turnovers in the first half and 16 in the game after losing the ball 20 times against Delaware State.

Texas held a lopsided edge in shooting, making 60.4% of its shots, while the Owls managed 38.3%.
