Behind 18 points from senior Kyra White, the UTSA women's basketball team recovered from a 15-point deficit to claim a 66-59 overtime victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in nonconference action inside the Dugan Wellness Center.
The Roadrunners (2-1) bested the Islanders (2-2) as White led the contest in scoring, going 3-for-6 from beyond the arc and 5-for-6 from the free throw line.
Joining her in the double-digit scoring club, redshirt junior Elyssa Coleman dropped 14 at an incredibly efficient 53.8% clip, and sophomore Sidney Love 10.
Classmates Maya Linton and Cheyenne Rowe each snagged seven rebounds, with White and freshman Idara Udo not far behind, grabbing six, and freshman Aysia Proctor five. Additionally, Love and White tied for the team lead in assists with five, and Love swiped three steals across the comeback.
Belmont 75, Wichita State 67 - Box Score
Wichita State dropped its second road game of the season, falling 67-75 to Belmont Wednesday evening at the Curb Event Center.
Three Shockers finished in double figures with Tre'Zure Jobe leading the way with 16 points and 2 steals, as DJ McCarty had 13 points and 2 steals, and Daniela Abies put up 11 points and 8 rebounds.
Belmont's Tess Miller and Jailyn Banks put up 17 points apiece to lead the Bruins to their second-straight win.

The Temple women's basketball team (2-2) fell to the No. 23 Ole Miss Rebels (2-1), 80-63 in the Owls' first road game of the season. Tiarra East led all scorers with 24 points, including 9-9 from the line. The wing fell one point short of her career high. The Rebels were exceptional from the field, hitting 51.8% from the field including 56.7% in the first half.
