FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- No. 6 seed Memphis fell to No. 7 seed Pitt, 3-0, in the third round of the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship, Sunday, November 19.

Memphis finishes the season with a 20-2 overall record along with an AAC West Division Championship, its third-consecutive American Athletic Conference Tournament Championship and back-to-back trips to the NCAA Sweet 16 match. Today’s defeat snapped an impressive 17-game winning streak for the Tigers that dated all the way back to Aug. 27.

Keera Melenhorst opened the scoring for the Panthers in the 52nd minute, before Deborah Abiodun (76th minute) and Aliya Gomes (88th minute) added insurance goals.
