Tulane 64, Mercer 58
Hannah Pratt and Marta Galic both scored 15 points to lead the Tulane women's basketball team (3-1) to a comeback 64-58 victory over Mercer (1-4) on Sunday at Hawkins Arena.

Pratt and Galic also both picked up eight rebounds in the victory. Kyren Whittington also scored in double figures with 11 points. She also tallied five rebounds and two steals. Irina Parau also reached double figures with 13 points. She also had four rebounds. Amira Mabry tallied eight points, five rebounds and two steals. Kaylah Rainey recorded five assists and two steals. Chiarra Grattini tallied two points and three rebounds. Joy Madison-Key, in her first game of the season, picked up an assist and a steal.

South Florida 56, North Florida 55
Freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh (27 points) had a career day in South Florida women's basketball's 56-55 win against North Florida on Sunday afternoon inside the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla.
 
Blasigh also reset her personal-best mark in 3-pointers with seven on the day. The freshman has scored in double-figures in four of the last five contests, along with a pair of 20-plus point games so far this year. Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy added eight points in the contest, which marked her third game of eight or more points this campaign. Redshirt senior guard Aerial Wilson matched a season-best eight assists.

North Texas 79, Southern Illinois 73
The UNT women's basketball team came from behind to defeat Southern Illinois, 79-73, Sunday in Carbondale, Illinois.

With the win, North Texas improved to 4-1 to start the season for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign.

Led by Tommisha Lampkin's season-high 19 points and four other double-digit scorers, the Mean Green were able to overcome a 35-29 halftime deficit and hold off the Salukis late.

Rice 73, Saint Mary's 62
The Rice women's basketball team used a second-half offensive explosion to defeat Saint Mary's 73-62 Sunday afternoon at Tudor Fieldhouse. The Owls snap their two-game skid to move to 3-2 on the season.

Maya Bokunewicz tied a career-high with 26 points on a 9-of-15 shooting, including a blistering 7-of-10 display from three-point range, tying the school record for threes in a game. Dominique Ennis added 13 points, four steals and two assists, while Destiny Jackson netted 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

As a team, Rice shot 25-of-66 (37.9%) and 12-of-30 (40.0%) from three-point range. The Owls added an 11-of-15 (73.3%) shooting display from the free throw line. Rice scored 28 points off of 20 Saint Mary's turnovers.

Memphis 52, Howard 43
The University of Memphis women's basketball team played in its second game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament Sunday evening against Howard University. A late run from the Tigers secured the 52-43 win over the Bison Sunday night.

Madison Griggs led all players with 20 points while going 7-15 from the field. Ki'Ari Cain came off the bench to add in 13 points – nine of which came from behind the arc. Shelbee Brown was dominant on the boards, grabbing nine rebounds while Kai Carter blocked three shots.

As a team, Memphis shot 33% from the field while sinking seven three-pointers.

UAB 62, Alaska Anchorage 52
The UAB women's basketball team outscored Alaska Anchorage by 12 in the second half en route to a 63-52 victory over the Seawolves to conclude action at the Great Alaska Shootout.

Denim DeShields stuffed the stat sheet in leading the Blazers (3-1) to victory. DeShields had six points, nine assists, six rebounds and three steals in the win. Mia Moore was the team's leading scorer with 11, while Jade Weathersby (9) and Desiree Ware (8) made major contributions off the bench in the win.

Temple 62, Villanova 90
The Temple women's basketball team (2-3) fell 90-62 to the Villanova Wildcats (2-1) Sunday afternoon at Finneran Pavilion. For the third time this season, three Owls or more scored in double-figures in Tarriyonna Gary, Aleah Nelson, and Rayne Tucker.
