South Florida 105, Gardner-Webb 75
Freshman guard Vittoria Blasigh put up a career-high 31 points in South Florida women's Basketball's (7-3) 105-75 victory against Gardner-Webb (0-9) on Sunday in Tampa, Fla. The triumph marked head coach Jose Fernandez's 450 career win and the program's 18 100-plus victory in program history.
 
Senior guard Sammie Puisis started for the first time this season and contributed 21 points, a team-high two steals, a pair of rebounds, and a single assist. Sophomore guard Marina Asensio added a personal-best 16 points by shooting 5-of-6 from field goal range, with four 3-pointers. Asensio also matched a career-high seven assists on the day.

South Florida opened the game on a 20-4 run through the first six minutes of the first frame, holding Gardner-Webb to just two field goals during the stretch. Puisis, Evelien Lutje Schipholt, Aerial Wilson, and Carla Brito each put up four points apiece in the run to open the contest. The Bulls never gave up the lead while shooting 40-of-73 from field-goal range, and saw the advantage raise up to 31 points later on in the third quarter.

Tulane 67, Howard 52
Kyren Whittington's 22 points led four players in double figures as the Tulane women's basketball team (5-4) made it two in a row at home with a 67-52 victory over visiting Howard (1-9) on Sunday afternoon at Devlin Fieldhouse.

Whittington's 22 points was her second time over 20 points in a game this week and fourth time this season. She shot 7-for-13 from the field, knocked down two threes and also went 6-for-7 from the free throw line. Whittington also led the squad with her eight rebounds and five steals. Chiara Grattini scored a career-high 15 points including four threes in seven attempts. She also had four rebounds and three assists. 

Hannah Pratt chipped in with 14 points and six rebounds. Marta Galic tallied 12 points, four rebounds and a block. Irina Parau recorded four points and seven rebounds plus a team-high five assists. Kaylah Rainey had an assist, a rebound and a block. McKenzi Carter also had an assist and a rebound. Amira Mabry hauled in two rebounds.

Temple 61, Penn 47
Temple (4-5, 0-0) defeated the Penn Quakers (6-5, 0-0) by a score of 61-47, at the Liacouras Center. This is Temple's second win in the last three games, and first Big 5 win of the season. The Owls' defense held Penn to a season-low shooting percentage by a Temple opponent, 28.8%. 
 
Aleah Nelson made history in the third quarter, becoming only the third Temple women's basketball player in program history, and seventh player in Temple basketball history, to pass for 500 assists. Ines Piper led the Owls in scoring with a season-high 16 points, she also grabbed 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.

Tulsa 72, Florida 64
Delanie Crawford and Temira Poindexter combined for 43 points to lead Tulsa to a 72-64 comeback victory over the SEC's Florida Gators Sunday afternoon in front of 2,205 fans at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.
 
Tulsa improved to 7-3 overall, while Florida fell to 6-3 on the year. The win over the Gators was the first in seven games for an American Athletic Conference over an SEC team this season.
 
Crawford ended the day with a game-high 22 points while Poindexter added 21 for the Golden Hurricane. Crawford made five of her seven field goals from behind the arc, while also grabbing eight rebounds. Poindexter tallied 16 of her points in the second half and made 6-of-8 free throws, including 5-of-6 in the final quarter.
 
Ahrray Young also scored in double digits with a season-high 13 points. The Gators were led by Laila Reynolds with 14 points f
 
Rebounding was a focus for the Hurricane going into the contest against the much taller Gator team. Hadley Periman grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds with six of those coming on the offensive end.

Memphis 69, (RV) Southern Miss 67
The University of Memphis women's basketball team remained perfect in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse today after handing (RV) Southern Mississippi its first loss of the season with the 69-67 victory.

Following today's game, Memphis moves to 4-6 this season.

Madison Griggs sank her fourth three-pointer of the day with 43 seconds left on the clock. A Lady Eagle missed shot turned into a transition play for Memphis where Ki'Ari Cain hit a floater with two seconds remaining to put the Tigers up 69-67. Shelbee Brown pulled down the game-winning rebound as time expired to give Memphis the two-point win.

Kai Carter and Madison Griggs led the team in scoring with 14 points, each, while Ki'Ari Cain and Hannah Riddick added in 13 and 12 points, respectively. Alasia Smith had an outstanding stat line as well with eight points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.

Kansas 76, Wichita State 56
Wichita State dropped its second-straight home game, falling 76-56 to in-state foe Kansas Sunday afternoon in Charles Koch Arena.
 
S'Mya Nichols had a game-high 23 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 10-for-12 from the field, to lead the Jayhawks (5-4) past the Shockers (4-6) for the fourth-consecutive meeting.
 
Despite the Shockers shooting their second-best three-point (.333) and free throw (.722) percentages of the year, the offense still struggled to find its stride, scoring just 11 points in the third quarter. Wichita State's third quarter has been its lowest scoring quarter in six games this year.
 
Senior transfer from Miami (OH), Sierra Morrow, made her long-awaited Shocker debut after the NCAA approved her transfer waiver, tying for a team-high 12 points off the bench and recording a team-high 6 rebounds.
