SMU 69, Louisiana Tech 53
The SMU women's basketball team defeated Louisiana Tech 69-53 on Thursday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.

Three Mustangs scored in double-figures, led by Tiara Young's 19 points. SMU held Louisiana Tech to 31% shooting from the field, including an 18% clip from behind the arc while forcing 18 turnovers.

Tamia Jones did it all for the Mustangs. The senior guard finished with nine points, five assists, four rebounds, four steals, and three blocks. Amirah Abdur-Rahim reached double figures for the fifth time this season with 16 points. She added four rebounds, two steals, and a block.

Reagan Bradley scored 10 points, grabbed four boards, and passed out three assists. Maya Chandler scored eight points and grabbed two rebounds, while TK Pitts chipped in three points and four boards. Freshman Aaliyah Henderson scored four points and added seven rebounds, three assists, and a steal. 

Temple 72, Delaware 65
Temple (5-5, 0-0 The American) defeated the Delaware Blue Hens (4-6, 0-0 CAA), 72-65 Thursday night at The Liacouras Center. Aleah Nelson stole the show with her best game of the season so far. The guard recorded 22 points alongside 5 rebounds and 5 assists. 22 is a season-high in points for the Baltimore native.

Temple shot 8-14 from beyond the arc (57.1%), its best percentage since hitting 2-14-15 against Houston when the Owls drilled 58.3% from deep. The team's previous season-high from three was 38.7% in the season-opener against Delaware State. Three Owls scored in doubled figues (East, Nelson, and Tucker).

Houston 66, UTSA 64
A game-high 19 points for freshman Aysia Proctor nearly propelled the UTSA women's basketball team to victory on Thursday night in the Convocation Center, as they narrowly fell to Houston, 66-64 after trailing by as much as 22 in the second quarter. 

The Roadrunners (5-4, 0-0 The American) couldn't overcome the Cougars (8-1, 0-0 Big 12) in a down-to-the-wire contest that saw UTSA shoot 41.9% from the field to Houston's 36.1%. The 'Runners also hauled in 14 more rebounds than their opponents as freshman Idara Udo and senior Kyra White tied for the game-lead with eight. Likewise, classmate Elyssa Coleman was solid on the glass, collecting seven rebounds. 

White logged 17 points to go along with five assists, the most on either squad. Joining Proctor and White in the double-digit scoring club, sophomore Sidney Love recorded her seventh consecutive game with at least 10 points, this time logging 13. 

FIU 65, Florida Atlantic 62
Florida Atlantic women's basketball (4-4) came up just short on Thursday, falling in a hard-fought 65-62 battle with rival FIU (6-4) on Education Day in front of record-breaking crowd of 2,067 inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

Mya Perry, Janeta Rozentale, and Jada Moore led the Owls against the Panthers. Perry scored a career-high and team-leading 24 points, shooting 41 percent (7-of-17) from the field and 40 percent (4-of-10) from 3-point range, while also knocking down six free throws. Rozentale secured her second double-double of the season, pulling down 13 boards and scoring 12 points, in addition to posting a team-leading two blocks.
