Rice 85, Prairie View 59
A well-balanced attack fueled the Rice women's basketball team to an 85-59 win over Prairie View A&M Saturday afternoon at Tudor Fieldhouse. The win marks the 400th home win in program history. The Owls move to 6-4 with one game remaining in non-conference play.
Jazzy Owens-Barnett led the Owls with 14 points, three rebounds and two assists, while Maya Bokunewicz added 12 points, seven rebounds, three steals and a block. Emily Klaczek finished with 12 points and two rebounds, while Dominique Ennis also netted 12 points and two rebounds. Destiny Jackson had 11 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal, while Shelby Hayes finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Trinity Gooden rounded out the season-high seven double-digit scorers for Rice with 10 points, five assists and three rebounds.
As a team, Rice shot 28-of-66 (42.2%) from the floor and 9-of-21 (42.9%) from three-point range. The Owls added a 20-of-23 (87.0%) showing from the free throw line. Rice forced 20 PVAMU turnovers, scoring 24 points off those turnovers.
Missouri State 72, WIchita State 65
Wichita State dropped its third-straight game, falling 72-65 to Missouri State Saturday afternoon in Great Southern Bank Arena.
Lacy Stokes led the Bears (4-3) with 21 points as the Shockers dropped to 4-7, having yet to win a true road game.
Daniela Abies tied her career high and tied with Salese Blow for a team-high 18 points. Abies also led the team in rebounding with six.
Wichita State scored its most first-half points since its Nov. 20 win over Omaha and second-most all season, claiming a 39-33 lead at halftime.
The Shockers forced 15 first-half turnovers and capitalized with 22 points off turnovers.
Howard 46, Florida Atlantic 45
Florida Atlantic women's basketball (4-5) just couldn't get the ball to fall in the final moments as the Owls fell 46-45 against the Howard Bison (2-10) on Saturday at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
Mya Perry and Jada Moore led the Owls in the contest. Perry turned in her fifth double-figure performance of the season, scoring a game-high 19 points, shooting 46 percent (6-of-13) from the field, 63 percent (5-of-8) from 3-point range, and a perfect 100 percent (2-of-2) from the line, while also adding a career-best eight rebounds.

South Florida women's basketball (7-4) lost, 66-54, to No. 3/4 NC State on Saturday night inside the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Fla.
Redshirt junior forward Romi Levy led the Bulls with a season-high 11-point output and two assists. Sophomore wing Carla Brito (10 points) rounded out the USF performers who finished the night in double figures. Senior forward Evelien Lutje Schipholt grabbed a season-best 12 boards and added eight points.
