Temple 85, La Salle 61
The Temple women's basketball team (6-5) throttled Big 5 rival La Salle (3-7) 85-61 Sunday afternoon at Tom Gola Arena on the campus of La Salle. This is the Owls 9th straight win over La Salle dating back to the 2012-13 season. It is Temple's third straight win. For the third time this season, five or more players scored in double-figures.

It was a career day for guard Tarriyonna Gary, who scored 23 points to tie her career-high. This is the second time Gary has set a career best against a Big 5 opponent, with the first coming with 23 points against No. 24 Villanova last season. The Florida native also set a season-high in assists with four.

North Texas 71, Louisiana 48
The UNT women's basketball team used a dominant third quarter to blow past Louisiana 71-48 inside the Cajundome and tie the longest win streak in program history.

The Mean Green have won eight consecutive games since suffering their only defeat of the season on Nov. 12 at Texas A&M.

DesiRay Kernal led all scorers in the game with 18 points. The reigning AAC Player of the Week also added six rebounds, four assists and two steals in a complete performance. Behind Kernal, three other Mean Green would score in double figures including Jaaucklyn Moore with 13, Shamaryah Duncan with 10 and Mallard with 10.

Oregon 61, UTSA 48
Despite freshman Aysia Proctor's first career double-double, the UTSA women's basketball team suffered a 61-48 defeat at the hands of Oregon in nonconference action at Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday.

The Roadrunners (5-5) fell to the Ducks (8-3), as Proctor logged a career-high 20 points to go with 11 rebounds. Her performance represents UTSA's second double-double of the season as sophomore Maya Linton last accomplished the feat on Nov. 18, 2023, in a win over UT Arlington.

Also posting a career-best, nobody in the arena hauled in as many rebounds as redshirt junior Elyssa Coleman, whose 13 boards represent the most of any Roadrunner since senior Jordyn Jenkins pulled down 16 against Middle Tennessee on Jan. 4, 2023. Additionally, sophomore Cheyenne Rowe used an eight-point performance to work a season-high of her own.

As a team, the Roadrunners snagged 21 more rebounds than the Ducks, scored six more points in the paint, and were more efficient at the charity stripe, converting 86% of their free throws.

Mississippi State 81, Memphis 63
The University of Memphis women's basketball team played in its final non-conference match-up on Sunday afternoon against (RV) Mississippi State. While the Tigers strung together multiple comebacks to cut the Bulldog lead, MSU's offense proved too much as Memphis suffered the 81-63 loss.

Following today's game, Memphis moves to 4-7 overall.

Madison Griggs led all scorers with 24 points while draining six three-pointers. Alasia Smith, who played the full 40 minutes, grabbed a team-best 15 rebounds with eight of them coming on the offensive end.
