East Carolina 72, UMES 57
Danae McNeal's scored 34 points to lead the East Carolina women's basketball team to a 72-57 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday night in Minges Coliseum. McNeal led three Pirates in double figures while snagging a quartet of steals in the contest.

Tatyana Wyche put up her third double-digit rebounding game at ECU with 10 while contributing six points, and Amiya Joyner had her best game of the season with 10 points, nine rebounds and a steals while proving a formidable presence down low.

McNeal scored 26 of her 34 points in the second half and was unstoppable for large stretches of the game. She got it done on all three levels and was a perfect 9-9 from the foul line. It was a continuation of a return to form that was expected of McNeal and she made it look pretty easy on Monday night.

Houston Christian 49, Wichita State 44
Another offensive slump slowed the Shockers in their second home loss of the season, falling 49-44 to Houston Christian Monday evening in Charles Koch Arena.

Wichita State (4-5) shot just 17-for-61 (.279), their second-worst field goal percentage of the year but held Houston Christian (4-5) to only 21-for-53 (.396) from the field.

Arkansas - Pine Bluff 78, SMU 76
The SMU women's basketball team fell to Arkansas- Pine Bluff 78-76 on Monday night in Moody Coliseum.

Tiara Young led the Mustangs with 22 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Young has turned in double-digit scoring in each game this season and scored 20+ points for the fourth time. Chantae Embry reached double-digits for the fourth time this year with 17 points. Reagan Bradley scored nine points, passed out five assists, and grabbed three rebounds. 

TK Pitts scored seven points and tied her career-high with 10 rebounds. Amirah Abdur-Rahim scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds. Tamia Jones finished with four points, three assists, and many steals. Maya Chandler tallied five points, and Jessica Peterson grabbed three rebounds and finished with two points.
