IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced a comprehensive partnership with U.S. Integrity (USI) to provide sports wagering monitoring systems and educational resources to the conference’s student-athletes, coaches and staff to prevent participation in prohibited sports wagering.
U.S. Integrity will provide integrity monitoring services via its proprietary dashboard to The American. USI conducts analysis across dozens of data sets to proactively identify irregular contest-level officiating and wagering patters.
“We are extremely pleased to enhance our monitoring and educational systems through this important partnership with U.S. Integrity,” said American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco. “As sports wagering continues to expand nationally and internationally, it is critical for us to provide educational resources to our members and ensure that we have access to the best information to protect the integrity of our contests.”
In addition to the monitoring services provided by the USI dashboard, the agreement additionally covers annual reviews of the conference’s protocols, policies and procedures related to sports wagering, including best practice recommendations and risk assessments. It also allows for on-site education training at all American Athletic Conference member schools.
“We’re incredibly proud to partner with the American Athletic Conference and help tackle the issues that are impacting the integrity space.” said Matthew Holt, USI’s CEO and co-founder. “The team here at USI is looking forward to working with the American Athletic Conference to ensure and maintain the integrity at the conference level and all AAC athletic properties. The commitment to deliver the highest of integrity standards must start at the student-athlete level through the leadership of the conference, and this partnership with the AAC showcases our commitment.”
