In a game that saw seven goals combined and four in the second half, the Golden Hurricane were able to lean on one of their leaders Malik Henry-Scott who was responsible for two crucial goals in Tulsa's 4-3 win over Drake on Saturday night at the Hurricane Soccer Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 2-2-1 on the season, while the Bulldogs fell to 1-4 overall.
Malik Henry-Scott put Tulsa up 1-0 at the 17:50 mark as he picked up a pass from Mike Eijgendaal. Henry-Scott shot from his left foot outside the left post into the lower right corner.
Drake's Damian Segura evened the score in the 32nd minute in identical fashion of the TU goal. He received a forward pass from A.J. Franklin on the left post and kicked it into the lower right corner.
Wes Bottenburg put TU back up by one at the 39:23 mark as he headed in a corner kick taken by Mikey Morales.
Just under three minutes into the second half, Segura scored his second goal of the night off a cross from Eloge Iradukunda from 12 yards out to even the score, 2-2.
Henry-Scott gave the Golden Hurricane a 3-2 edge in the 68th minute as he punched in a score from 10 yards out up the middle off a cross from Tom Protzek.
The score was evened once again as A.J. Franklin drilled in a penalty kick at the 80:49 mark, but Tulsa went up 4-3 just 79 seconds later as Morales one-timed the ball into the back of the net off a rebound attempt taken by Protzek.
