South Florida took down Gonzaga, 2-1, in American Athletic Conference women's soccer non-conference action on Sunday, Sept. 24. In the only other game on Sunday, Florida Atlantic defeated local rival, FIU, 2-0.
It was the first win over a ranked opponent for the Bulls since November 2019.
Peyton Vincze opened the scoring in the 49th minute off a feed from Kouri Peace before Peace scored one of her own off a cross from Serita Thurton less than two minutes later.
Leire Herraez Gallach made seven saves for the Bulls in goal.
