IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the weekly women’s soccer honors for the third week of the season.
 
Offensive Player of the Week
Saorla Miller, 5th, F, Memphis
Miller scored a brace in the Tigers’ 4-1 win at Iowa State on Thursday night. The fifth-year scored the first two goals for Memphis, including the game-winning goal.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Jazmin Ferguson, So., D, East Carolina
Ferguson led the Pirate defense that limited UNCW to two shots on goal in a 2-0 win on Thursday and six shots on goal in a 3-1 win over High Point on Sunday.
 
Goalkeeper of the Week
Emma Wakeman, Sr., Charlotte
Wakeman recorded five saves and a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw against UNCG on Thursday before claiming six saves in a 1-1 draw against Virginia Tech on Sunday.
 
Rookie of the Week
Ella Steck, D, East Carolina
Steck recorded goals in both East Carolina wins against UNCG and High Point last week, including the game-winning goal against the Panthers on Sunday.
 
Weekly Honor Roll
Macey Bader, Jr., F, Charlotte
Bader scored the equalizer for the 49ers in the 87th minute against Virginia Tech on Sunday.
 
Maeve English, Sr., GK, East Carolina
English posted two saves and a clean sheet against UNCW on Thursday before recording five saves in a win at High Point on Sunday.
 
Michelle Horan , So., F, Florida Atlantic
Horan scored the game winning goal for the Owls in a 2-1 win over Louisiana on Thursday.
 
Kaylie Bierman, Jr., GK, Memphis
Bierman recorded four saves, including a penalty kick stop in the Tigers’ 4-1 win at Iowa State on Thursday.
 
Nyah Rose, Fr., F, SMU
Rose recorded three goals against Stephen F. Austin, as the Mustangs went 1-1 for the week.
