JONESBORO, Ark. - Seth Henigan threw for 239 yards and two touchdowns and the Memphis defense kept Arkansas State out of the end zone as the Tigers cruised to a 37-3 win Saturday night at Centennial Bank Stadium.
Henigan was an efficient 21-of-29 and was not intercepted as the Tigers improved to 2-0 win the win.
The Tigers broke the game open with a 21-point second quarter, sparked by Henigan's 4-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Scates and a 36-yard pick-six by DJ Bell.
Memphis took advantage of four Arkansas State turnovers, scoring 16 points off of Red Wolves' miscues.
Linebacker Chandler Martin had seven tackles with 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble for the Tigers.
