Nine American Athletic Conference men's basketball teams won on the opening night of the 2024-25 season.
Florida Atlantic defeated Indiana State, 97-64, in a neutral-site matchup in head coach John Jakus' first game in charge, while Wichita State went on the road to defeat Western Kentucky, 91-84, behind 31 points from Justin Hill. Memphis came from 14 down for the second year in a row to take down Missouri, and UTSA picked up a win in Austin Claunch's first game as Roadrunner head coach. Elsewhere, Charlotte, East Carolina, Temple, Tulane and Tulsa also earned season-opening wins.
