MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa – The Cincinnati lacrosse team cruised past Robert Morris Sunday afternoon, 15-0.
Four different goal scores contributed to Cincinnati's offensive success including sophomore attacker Camryn Callaghan's six goals.
Defensively, the Bearcats rose to the occasion shutting out their opponent for the first time in program history.
Cincinnati started off hot with senior midfielder Lauren Ottensmeyer recording a hat-trick in the first quarter. She ended with five goals, tying her career-high. Freshman midfielder Hailey Joy Simpson notched her first career goal, alongside an assist to an Ottensmeyer goal.
Cincinnati took advantage of Robert Morris' 19 turnovers in the first half, scoring on nine.
The Bearcat offense didn't let up as Cincinnati scored five unanswered goals in the second half.
Goalie Victoria Macres had two huge saves on free-position attempts that kept the Colonials scoreless.
