IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending February 18.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Isabella Peterson • Sr. • James Madison • Bel Air, Md.
Peterson led all American Athletic Conference players in scoring with 11 points (8g, 3a) in two games last week, helping No. 3 James Madison to a pair of victories. She scored a game-high five goals with three assists and seven draw controls in a 17-5 win against Virginia Tech and added three goals and seven draw controls in a 15-14 victory against No. 24 UConn. Peterson ranks sixth nationally with 17 points (13g, 4a) on the young season.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Kemper Robinson • Jr. • Vanderbilt • Owings Mills, Md.
Robinson led Vanderbilt to a 19-4 win against Central Michigan in the Commodores’ season-opener. She scored a game-high five goals and added two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Robinson scored all five of her goals in the first half to help Vanderbilt build a 13-3 lead at halftime.
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Katie Shallow • Sr. • Temple • Havertown, Pa.
Shallow led all American Athletic Conference players in caused turnovers (nine) and ground balls (10) as the Owls held Binghamton and Manhattan to six goals each in a pair of 15-6 wins. Shallow had eight ground balls and six caused turnovers against Binghamton and added two ground balls and three caused turnovers against Manhattan. Shallow’s 15 caused turnovers through three games are the most of any NCAA Division I player in 2024.

Boden preserved James Madison’s 15-14 win against No. 24 UConn to help the third-ranked Dukes to a 3-0 start to the season. She made four saves in the final minute, including two on free positions, to deny UConn’s comeback bid on a day in which the Dukes were outshot 42-27 and faced seven woman-down situations. She finished with a career-high 16 saves, the most among American Athletic Conference players in 2024.

Alex Gladding • D • Fr. • Vanderbilt • Pompano Beach, Fla.
Gladding was a standout on close defense in her collegiate debut as she helped Vanderbilt to a 19-4 win against Central Michigan. Gladding earned an Opening Day start and responded with a ground ball and game-high four caused turnovers to lead a defensive unit that held the Chippewas to four goals and 16 shots.
