North Texas 80, Tulane 76 - Box Score
NEW ORLEANS (AP) Aaron Scott scored 19 points as North Texas beat Tulane 80-76 on Wednesday night.
Scott also added six assists for the Mean Green (15-12, 8-7 American Athletic Conference). Rubin Jones added 16 points while shooting 4 for 11 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 7 of 9 from the free-throw line, and he also had five rebounds and six assists. Jason Edwards chipped in with 13 points.
Kevin Cross finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Green Wave (13-14, 4-11). Sion James, Kevin Cross and Collin Holloway EACH added 17 points.
Scott scored 12 points in the first half and North Texas led 36-27 at the break. North Texas used a 7-0 run in the second half for a 66-56 lead with 6:15 left.
Wichita State 74, UAB 66 - Box Score
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Colby Rogers had 29 points and five 3-pointers in Wichita State's 74-66 victory against UAB on Wednesday night.
Rogers added three steals for the Shockers (12-17, 4-12 American Athletic Conference). Harlond Beverly added 12 points while going 5 of 9 and 1 of 4 from the free throw line, and he also had eight rebounds and five assists. Xavier Bell had 12 points and shot 3 of 10 from the field and 6 for 6 from the line.
Alejandro led the way for the Blazers (18-10, 10-5) with 22 points and seven rebounds. Yaxel Lendeborg added 20 points and 15 rebounds for UAB. In addition, Daniel Ortiz had 10 points and two steals.
Wichita State took the lead with 6:02 to go in the first half and never looked back. The score was 39-33 at halftime, with Rogers racking up 19 points.
UTSA 89, Tulsa 73 - Box Score
SAN ANTONIO (AP) Jordan Ivy-Curry's 20 points off of the bench helped UTSA to an 89-73 victory against Tulsa on Wednesday.
Ivy-Curry had seven rebounds for the Roadrunners (10-19, 4-12 American Athletic Conference). Chandler Cuthrell added 14 points while going 4 of 9 from the floor, including 4 for 6 from 3-point range, and 2 for 4 from the line, and they also had five rebounds. Christian Tucker and Dre Fuller Jr., both added 12 points.
Tucker tied The American's single-game record for assists with 14, joining Kendric Davis (SMU vs. Cincinnati, 1/7/21) and Jalen Cook (Tulane vs. Cincinnati, 2/7/23).
PJ Haggerty led the Golden Hurricane (14-14, 5-11) in scoring, finishing with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jesaiah McWright added 10 points for Tulsa.
Temple 65, Rice 43 - Box Score
HOUSTON (AP) Hysier Miller scored 16 points as Temple beat Rice 65-43 on Wednesday night.
Miller also added four steals for the Owls (11-17, 4-11 American Athletic Conference). Sam Hofman, Steve Settle III and Matteo Picarelli each scored eight points. Hofman and Settle combined for 16 rebounds.
The Owls (11-17, 5-10) were led in scoring by Max Fiedler, who finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Mekhi Mason added nine points and three steals for Rice.
