Memphis' Warren, UTSA's Lytle Earn Weekly Honors

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly baseball honors for the seventh week of the regular season.
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mason Lytle, Jr., OF, UTSA
Lytle helped lead the Roadrunners to a midweek win over Baylor and a 3-game sweep at Tulane by hitting .600 (12-20) with seven runs scored, two doubles, one triple, one home run and five RBI. The junior recorded three hits in each of UTSA’s four victories.
 
PITCHER OF THE WEEK
David Warren, Sr., Memphis
Warren earned the win in a tight 2-1 victory over Florida Atlantic by only allowing one run on four hits in 7.1 innings of work with 10 strikeouts.
 
HONOR ROLL
Wyatt Lunsford-Shenkman, Jr., P, East Carolina
Lunsford-Shenkman appeared in two games for the Pirates, earning the win against UNCW on Tuesday before earning the save in Thursday’s win over UAB.
 
Ryan McCrystal, Jr., C, East Carolina
McCrystal hit .357 (5-14) with two runs scored and drove in four runs as the Pirates went 4-0 on the week.
 
Emilio Gonzalez, Fr., INF, Florida Atlantic
Gonzalez hit .462 (6-13) with three runs scored, two home runs and five RBI as the Owls earned a series win at Memphis.
 
Hunter Mink, Sr., P, South Florida
Mink tossed a complete-game, allowing two runs while striking out six in the 6-2 series-opening win against Charlotte.
 
Derek Williams, Jr., OF, Wichita State
Williams hit .556 (5-9) with two runs, one home run, seven RBI and was hit five times as the Shockers went 3-1 last week, including a sweep over Rice.
