IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of its weekly women’s lacrosse honors for the week-ending March 31.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ATTACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Camryn Callaghan • So. • Cincinnati • Upper Arlington, Ohio
Callaghan scored a game-high six goals, including five in the second half, to lead Cincinnati to a 12-11 win against East Carolina. Callaghan had three third-quarter goals, which proved instrumental as East Carolina battled back from a five-goal deficit to close within one. Callaghan's fifth goal of the day gave the Bearcats an 11-8 fourth-quarter lead, while her sixth stood up as the gamewinner. Callaghan leads The American with 49 goals in 2024, which ranks fourth among Division I players.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE MIDFIELDER OF THE WEEK
Madison Waters • Sr. • Florida • Bayport, N.Y.
Waters had a pair of hat tricks to help Florida to its 10th and 11th consecutive wins as the Gators topped Liberty (23-3) and Vanderbilt (20-5). She had three goals and a ground ball in the win against the Flames and added three goals and three ground balls in the victory against the Commodores. Waters ranks fourth on the Gators with 29 points (23g, 6a) in 2024.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Maddie Barber • Jr. • Temple • Severn, Md.
Barber led a defensive effort that limited Old Dominion to five goals and 12 shots in a 12-5 victory that lifted the Owls to 3-0 in The American. Barber had game highs with five ground balls, four draw controls and four caused turnovers as Temple held the Monarchs to one goal in the second half. Barber has helped Temple allow only 8.27 goals per game, good for seventh in Division I.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK
Elyse Finnelle • So. • Florida • Deale, Md.
Finelle allowed only one goal in 54 minutes, 13 seconds spanning two games, with 12 combined saves, to help Florida to a 2-0 week. She made five saves in 19 minutes as part of a 23-3 win against Liberty and made seven stops in 35 minutes in a 20-5 decision against Vanderbilt. Finnelle's .923 save percentage was the best of any American Athletic Conference goalie this week as she improved her season marks to a .518 save percentage and a 9.60 goals-against average.
 
AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Cate Isaacson • M • Fr. • Florida • Worthington, Ohio
Isaacson figured in the scoring in both of Florida's wins last week as the Gators defeated Liberty (23-3) and Vanderbilt (20-5) to extend their winning streak to 11 games. Isaacson had an assist in the win against the Flames and added two goals and an assist against the Commodores.
