IRVING, Texas -- James Madison attack Isabella Peterson and Florida midfielder Emily Heller have been chosen among the 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, which is presented annually to the top player in college lacrosse.

Peterson, who was one of five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award last season, leads the American Athletic Conference with 4.0 goals per game in 2024. She has scored 52 goals in 13 games and is second in the conference with 59 total points (52g, 7a).

Heller is one of the nation's top two-way players and has been instrumental in Florida's 13-game winning streak, which ranks as the nation's best. Heller has 30 goals, six assists, 18 ground balls, 24 draw controls and nine caused turnovers in 2024.

The 2024 Tewaaraton Watch Lists were first unveiled Feb. 18, with additions announced March 7 and March 28. The five men’s and five women’s finalists will be announced May 9 and will be invited to the Tewaaraton Award Ceremony in Washington, D.C., on May 30.
